Homeowner Feedback – What happens if a homeowner has lost their login details?

November 27th, 2009

How homeowners can leave feedback retrospectively

We’ve recently updated and re-designed our homeowners login area, where homeowners can see which companies we’ve placed their details with, download deposit protection certificates and leave their feedback on you, to include a new feature where they can actual view previously left feedback that you’ve published from your Customer Admin Area – Feedback tools.

When publishing feedback, there is a facility to leave your own public comment or clarification etc which is then also viewable by homeowners.

We’ve had several requests from companies asking is it possible for homeowners to go back and leave feedback when prompted by you?

The good news is that it is possible.

When a homeowner first uses our service, they’re sent an email with their login details to access their personal online area. If they’ve lost or forgotten / deleted that email, they can still login.

The homeowner needs to go to our ‘Quoter family website – homeimprovementquotes.co.uk

Then from the ‘About Us’ tab, select ‘Home Owner Login Area’ and click on ‘Customer Log In’. They’ll be asked for their email and password. Providing they use the email address they gave at the time of confirming their details with our sales advisors, they’ll be able to use the ‘forgot my password’ feature – we’ll email them their password again.

They can then login as normal and leave feedback and star ratings etc.

Getting your customers to leave feedback, and then publishing it is a great way to stand out from other companies we may have recommended to a homeowner and all helps build a confidence in why they should use your company.

We’ve even blogged about the above procedure over on our homeowners blog – click here. It might be a useful resource to direct any homeowners who ask ‘how to?’ for guidance.
