Whilst we may be advising homeowners that it’s unlikely they’ll be able to get their solar installation carried out before the 3rd March, it’s not putting them off going ahead with organising some comparable quotes ahead of the 1st April ‘deadline’.
Unlike the last ‘deadline’ of December 2011, homeowners seem much more aware of the forthcoming tariff changes and the importance of beating the 1st April date to avoid having to provide extra proofs like energy efficiency certificates etc.
And long term?
Well, with the Government proposing further reductions to the tariff in July and October, followed by 6 monthly reviews thereafter, based on the number of installations carried out by those dates, the ‘buzz’ around approaching deadline dates looks set to continue.
