New Forum section – just for Affiliates

Friday, September 18th, 2009

When next logging into your Customer Admin Area, Affiliates will notice we’ve created a special new forum section called Affiliate Corner – just for them.

Our Forum is there to offer practical tips and advice on making the most of your account – not just for affiliates – as well as giving you an opportunity to reply back directly with your own comments or questions.

You’ll find the forum under Help > forum in your Customer Admin Area.

When and How to change your password

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

This week – our weekly email to companies advises you on how to change your password and when you should change your password…

“It’s important to make sure your Price Engines account is securely protected against those with malicious intent. Our customer Admin Area uses powerful security services including industry-standard 128-bit encryption, but no level of security will protect an account which has an insecure password.

If your password is not secret and secure enough, attackers could gain access to your Price Engines account and view your leads or change your products and areas. You can prevent this from happening by following these tips for keeping your password secure:…”

If you missed our email, you’ll find a repeat of the content on the Customer Admin Area forum (under ‘help’).

Customers flock to new forum feature

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Customers have been flocking to our new forum feature (under ‘Help’ in your customer admin area), since it’s launch last friday.

We’ve introduced the forum so that companies can ask questions, get help and share these questions and other news with other companies who use Price Engines services.

Here’s a typical example of one of our earlier posts:

A few customers have asked us to provide an estimate of the maximum lead flow that their account may generate; so we have made a new button on the home page https://delivery.priceengines.co.uk/?ref=stats.

How it works and what it all means:

When you click on the “Get Max Lead Flow Estimate” button we look at the products that are selected on that account, and the postcode areas selected and use some previous history and chicken entrails to come up with an estimated maximum daily lead flow. This figure should be on the high side to give some level of security against too many leads.

If you’re finding this figure is well wrong – let me know – and I’ll get a new chicken.

If you haven’t already, then make time to visit our forum – you’re automatically logged in when you enter your customer admin area so you can start posting right away. Go on! We’d love to hear from you.

Friday is Company Newsletter Day – don’t miss yours

Friday, November 14th, 2008

We have a very exciting Newsletter being sent this Friday to all the home improvement companies in our network.

Firstly, we’ll be showing you how you can update the visible profile that homeowners see when they login on their own online area to leave feedback / see which companies we’ve recommended to them.

This Profile page also allows you as a company to upload a brochure or sales sheet in pdf format. Then when a home owner views your details, they can also view or download your brochure.

There’s space for a personalised message as well so you could use the opportunity to say something unique about your company and why the homeowner should go with your quote.

If you haven’t already, then log in to your Customer Admin Area and update your Profile which can be found under ‘Account Details’ – ‘Update Profile’ from the left hand navigation panel.

Secondly, we’ll also be introducing our new Forum facility where companies can interact with us and other companies – share common questions and answers, seek help etc.

You can find ‘Forum’ under the ‘Help’ section in your Customer Admin Area

Well that’s it for now – we’re off to put the finishing touches to what promises to be another very exciting and informative newsletter – look out for it appearing in your email inbox later today.
